Genus: Palaeolecanium Šulc View in CoL

Type species: Lecanium bituberculatum Targioni Tozzetti.

There are two species of Palaeolecanium in the Palaearctic Region: P. bituberculatum is widespread in Western Europe, whereas P. kosswigi (Bodenheimer) is endemic in Türkiye ( Ülgentürk et al. 2022).
