Characters: Test yellow or brown, pyriform or ovoid, compressed and composed of imbricate oval or elliptical siliceous platelets. Aperture terminal, oval and bordered by a thin chitinous membrane with irregularly dentate margin.

Distribution: India - Manipur, Sikkim, Nagaland, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.
