Type locality. Italy, Gulf and Lagoon of Venice .
Type material. Type material not located so far.
Distribution. Italy ( Olivi 1792).
Remarks. Bouchet & Guillemot (1978) noted that this species is based on a figure by Gualtieri (1742) depicting a dextral cerithiid which is not possible to identify further. It is thus a nomen dubium.
