Figure 6 View FIGURE 6
Description. Female. Body medium.
Head. Face ovoid; fastigium verticis about twice as wide as scape; fastigium frontis separated from fastigium verticis by a very fine suture ( Fig. 6A View FIGURE 6 ). Ocelli indistinct.
Thorax. Anterior margin of pronotum faintly projecting in middle, posterior margin triangularly concave in middle ( Fig. 6B View FIGURE 6 ); lateral lobes longer than high, anterior angle widely arched, posterior angle rounded, humeral sinus shallow ( Fig. 6C View FIGURE 6 ). Fore coxae with 1 small spine. Fore and middle femora unarmed; hind femora ventrally with 9 internal and 10 external spines. Fore and middle tibiae with 4 pairs of spurs and 1 pair of apical spurs on ventral surfaces, middle tibiae with 1 internal spur on dorsal surface. Hind tibiae dorsally with 6 pairs of spines and 1 pair of apical spurs, ventral surface with 1 pair of subapical spurs and 2 pairs of apical spurs. Wings slightly surpassing the apex of abdomen.
Abdomen. Second and third abdominal tergites each with few minute stridulatory pegs ( Fig. 6D View FIGURE 6 ). Lateral margins of seventh abdominal sternite faintly convex and then converging after middle area; ventral surface in basal half convex and following with a transverse groove; posterior margin subtriangularly projecting, apical margin rounded, the ventral surface inconspicuously raised ( Fig. 6F View FIGURE 6 ). Subgenital plate longer than wide, base covered by the projection of seventh sternite in middle ( Fig. 6E View FIGURE 6 ); lateral margins gradually converging, posterior margin with a small median concavity ( Fig. 6E View FIGURE 6 ). Ovipositor falcate, in subbasal area strongly, afterwards regularly upcurved and with gradually converging margins; tip narrowing, subacute ( Fig. 6G View FIGURE 6 ).
Male. Unknown.
Coloration. Body brownish. Clypeo-frontal suture with 2 pairs of black spots. Between antennal sockets with 2 pairs of small black spots. Internal margins of antennal sockets with a small black spot. Fastigium verticis with 3 black spots, dorsum of head with 1 narrow obliquely longitudinal band on each side. Eyes black. Pronotum light brown with 3 pairs of small black spots and 1 pair of large black bands ( Fig. 6B View FIGURE 6 ). Apical areas of all femora black, basal and apical areas of tibiae with black rings, the apical area slightly lighter. Tegmina brown.
Measurements (mm). Female: BL 20.03, PL 4.45, TL 21.85, HFL 9.91, OvL 9.44.
Material examined. Holotype: female, Caiyanghe, Puer , Yunnan, June 30, 2024, coll. by Siyu Pang and Ting Luo.
Distribution. Yunnan (Puer).
Discussion. The new species differs from Glolarnaca nigrimacula Yang, Lu & Bian, 2021 in the coloration of body and the shape of female subgenital plate ( Fig. 7F View FIGURE 7 ).
Etymology. The new species name derives from the shape of female subgenital plate without longitudinal carinae.
