Description of Streptomyces cyslabdanicus TW 1K13

Cells are Gram-staining-positive, non-flagellated and filamentous. Colonies are rhizoid, umbonate, curled and brown-colored after 7 days on ISP2 View Materials at 30° C. Diffusible pigment is produced. Negative for arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, β -galactosidase, gelatinase, glucose fermentation, indole production, nitrate reduction and urease in API 20NE. Utilize N -acetyl-glucosamine, adipic acid, L-arabinose, D-glucose, malic acid, D-maltose, D-mannitol, D-mannose and potassium gluconate, but not utilize capric acid, phenylacetic acid and trisodium citrate. Strain TW 1K13 (= NIBRBAC000498097) has been isolated from soil sample, Chungbuk Province, Korea.
