Diagnosis. Ancylosis sabulosella is similar to A. umbrilimbella ( Ragonot & Hampson, 1901) , but the forewing of A. sabulosella with the antemedial line from the posterior margin reaching 2/3 width of the forewing, and A. umbrilimbella forewing with the antemedial line from the posterior margin to the costal margin. The male genitalia are characterized by the uncus with rounded apex, the long gnathos reaching 3/4 the length of the uncus, the valva broadened after the sacculus and the vinculum 1.5 times as long as wide with rounded anterior margin. A. umbrilimbella differs in the uncus with pointed apex, the shorter gnathos reaching 1/2 the length of the uncus, the valva narrowed after the sacculus and the vinculum equal in length and width with straight anterior margin. The female genitalia are characterized by the cylindrical antrum twice as long as wide, and the corpus bursae rounded anteriorly. In A. umbrilimbella , the funnel-shaped antrum is 1.2 times as long as wide and the corpus bursae is not rounded anteriorly.
