Terra typica: USA (North America).

Material examined: Five specimens and three eggs: La Posta (26°00′46.21.00′′N, 97°58′59.00′′W, ca. 22 m asl), 2.2 km N of Buenavista, Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Lichen on mesquite tree ( Prosopis glandulosa ), coll. Antonio Moreno - Talamantes, 19 December 2016.

Comments: Our specimens and eggs correspond well with the original description. This species had only been reported from Louisiana, U.S.A. ( Meyer et al. 2014; Kaczmarek et al. 2016). This is a new record for Mexico.
