Material examined: South Khorasan Province, Birjand , 32°32'N 58°50'E, (1), September 2009. Handcollecting. Iranian records GoogleMaps : Mazandaran ( Ghahari et al. 2009).

Distribution: Linepithema humile is a successful invasive species, originally described from Argentina. It has been reported from many regions worldwide including the Arabian Peninsula ( COLLINGWOOD et al. 1997; COLLING- WOOD & VAN HARTEN 2001; COLLINGWOOD et al. 2011), Europe and the Mediterranean region ( COLLINGWOOD 1979; CARPINTERO et al. 2005), Africa ( HOLWAY et al. 2002), and USA ( WARD 1987; SUAREZ et al. 1998).
