This species is reported here for the first time from Turkish waters; in the eastern Mediterranean Kocak and Katagan (2007) found it on the Cypriot coast, and Stock (1958b) on the Mediterranean coast of Israel. Chimenz & Lattanzi (2003) list the species as occurring in Egyptian waters like the preceding species – but fail to cite their source.
