The species has been reported from Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica and Peru ( Metcalf 1963a; Duffels and van der Laan 1985; Salazar Escobar 2005). The species is reported from Caldas, Salamina and Risaralda, Pereira in Colombia ( Salazar Escobar 2005).
