Found at 600±1250 m. ex Carthamus syriacum : 2M and 6F, Baalbek, Baalbek Co. (Beqaa Valley). ex C. tenuis : 3M and 2F, Ainab, Aley Co. (Mount Lebanon); 2M and 5F, Kousba, Koura Co. (North Lebanon); 1M and 2F, Sir el Danieh, Tripoli Co. (North Lebanon); 3F, Bhamdoun, Aley Co. (Mount Lebanon).

This monophagous species is associated with sa‚ower, and other Carthamus spp. Prior to the work of White et al. (1990) this species was confused with T. colon .
