Description

Measurements of holotype: prodorsum: length 233, width 180, height 88.5, sensillus 63.2, setae: in 137, le 83.5, ro 78.4, ex 10.1; notogaster: length 480, width 313, height 353, setae: c 1 70.8, h 1 and ps 1 101; genitoaggenital region 164 x 50.6; anoadanal region 215 x 45.5.

Prodorsum with one pair of lateral carinae; sensilli with distinctly clavate head, covered with spines of different lengths. Setae robust, erect, covered with small spines in distal half (except minute exobothridial setae), in> le> ro> ex. Mutual distance between rostral setae slightly shorter than between lamellar setae.

Notogastral setae fairly short (c 1 <c 1 d 1), stout, covered with small spines in distal half. Setae c 1 and c 2 far from anterior border, setae c 3 half of these distance. Opening of opisthosomal gland and arrangement of lyrifissures and vestigial setae typical of genus.

Ventral region: setae h of mentum longer than distance between them. Nine pairs of minute genital setae with formula 8: 1. Two pairs of minute aggenital setae present, arranged longitudinally. 3 pairs of anal setae. Anal setae an 1 and an 2 simple, rough, smaller than adanal setae covered with small spines; lyrifissures iad located anteriorly of ad 3 setae.

Leg setation and solenidiotaxy (without tarsi): I: 135(2)5(1), II: 133(1)4(1), III: 222(1)3(1), IV: 2112(1); all tarsi I heterobidactylous.

Types Holotype and seven paratypes: Croatia, Pirovač , autocampus PEPE, litter under pine tree in dry xerothermic meadow, 24 VIII 2002, leg. P. Szymkowiak.

Etymology The specific epithet refers to the type locality of Pirovač town.

Comparison This species is easy distinguishable from congeners by the coarse surface of body, shape of sensilli and heterobidactylous tarsi of legs.
