In summary, we subdivide the Bembicini View in CoL in eight subtribes, based on the present cladistic analysis:

1. Heliocausina Handlirsch 1925 . Included genera: Acanthocausus , Heliocausus , Tiguipa .

2. Exeirina Dalla Torre 1897. (= Argogorytina Nemkov and Lelej 1996 , syn. nov.). Included genera: Argogorytes , Clitemnestra , Exeirus , Olgia , Neogorytes , Paraphilanthus .

3. Gorytina Lepeletier de Saint Fargeau 1845. (= Trichogorytina Nemkov and Pulawski 2009 , syn. nov.). Included genera: Afrogorytes , Allogorytes , Arigorytes , Aroliagorytes, Austrogortyes , † Biamogorytes, Eogorytes , Epigorytes , Gorytes , Hapalomellinus , Harpactostigma, Harpactus , Hoplisoides , Lestiphorus , Leurogorytes , Liogorytes , Megistommum , Oryttus , Psammaecius , Psammaletes , Pterygorytes , Sagenista , Saygorytes , Stenogorytes , Stethogorytes , Tretogorytes , Trichogorytes , Xerogorytes .

4. Spheciina Nemkov and Ohl , subtrib. nov. Included genera: Ammatomus , Kohlia , Sphecius , Tanyoprymnus .

Diagnosis. Inner eye margins nearly parallel or converging toward clypeus, ocelli not depressed below level of surrounding surface of vertex, midocellar lens not reduced to a scar, labrum exposed part nearly half as long as broad, posterolateral oblique scutal carina present, scutellum overlapping metanotum, forewing submarginal cell I with prestigmal length much more than length of wing beyond marginal cell, stigma minute.

5. Handlirschiina Nemkov and Lelej 1996 . Included genera: Handlirschia , Pterygorytes .

6. Stizina A. Costa 1859. Included genera: Bembecinus, Stizoides, Stizus.

7. Stictiellina Bohart and Horning 1971 , stat. resurr. Included genera: Chilostictia , Glenostictia , Microstictia , Steniolia , Stictiella , Xerostictia .

8. Bembicina Latreille 1802 . Included genera: Bembix , Bicyrtes , Carlobembix , Editha , Hemidula , Microbembex , Rubrica , Selman , Stictia , Trichostictia , Zyzzyx .
