Diagnosis. Body large for the subfamily. Head with fastigium verticis narrow, protruding forwards, furrowed in the midline. Eyes spherical, obviously protruding outwards, ocelli distinct, with median ocellus and two lateral ocelli. Disc of pronotum smooth, humeral sinus distinct. Prosternum with 1 pair of spiniform processes; mesosternum with 1 pair of digitiform processes; metasternum with 1 pair of lobe-shaped processes. Fore tibiae with open tympana on both sides, oval. Tegmina and hind wings well developed, long, obviously surpassing apices of hind femora, tegmina slightly shorter than hind wings. Male. Ninth abdominal tergite arched, with 2 slightly swollen and sclerotized lobes; tenth abdominal tergite with 2 small sclerotized hooks widely separated on posterior margin which upturned over the lobes. Cerci long, burly at the base, narrowing, apices acute, covering with dense hairs. Subgenital plate length as two times as width. Styli long, cylindrical, located on the lateral areas of posterior margin of subgenital plate. Epiproct large, triangular. Paraproct specialized, bearing 2 long sclerotized processes. Female. Cerci long, nearly conical. Subgenital plate broad at the base, narrowing, apex acute-angular. Ovipositor moderately upcurved.
