Type locality. Cacaluta Bay , Oaxaca, México (15°43’12.1’’N, 96°9’49.1’’ W) .

Type material. Six specimens. Holotype: as sagittal sections: UMAR PLAT-032 (sagittal sections of reproductive structures seven slides; Cacaluta Bay, Oaxaca, southern Mexican Pacific ; above corals, 1 m, Feb 1, 2013, coll. MRS) . Paratypes: Four as whole mounts; UMAR PLAT-033 , 1 spec. ( Cacaluta Bay, same as holotype); UMAR PLAT-034 , 1 spec. ( Dos Hermanas Beach , under rocks, 0.5 m, Feb 1, 2013, coll. MRS); UMAR PLAT-035 - A, 2 specs., 1 spec. mature and 1 spec. juvenile ( Panteón Beach , above the coral rock, 2 m, Dec 6, 2013, coll. ECL). One specimen in histology sections, UMAR PLAT-035 B-C, 1 spec. (sagittal sections of reproductive structures two slides; Panteón Beach , same as UMAR PLAT-035 ) .
