Brachysomus transsylvanicus View in CoL group
This species group comprised 12 species ( Košťál 1992) but the following species have since been transferred from this group: B. kubanensis to B. kubanensis group, B. rhinomioides to B. rhinomioides group, B. commutatus , B. ponticus , B. oertzeni to B. ponticus group, B. polonicus and B. sulcatus to B. sulcatus group.
Diagnosis. Eyes large and weakly convex, situated near level of vertex (VW/ELD = 2.0). Epifrons flat or weakly convex, moderately narrowed apically, separated from vertex by transverse depression or not. Rostrum conical, narrowed gently to level of antennal insertion.
