Diagnosis. This species group is recognized by the eyes situated lower than the level of vertex; epifrons strongly convex longitudinally, distinctly widened from base to apex, separated from vertex by sharp transverse depression; rostrum widened from base to level of antennal insertion, pterygia sharply projecting from outline of rostrum; tegmen with distinctly developed parameres; and endophallus with two (large and small) sclerites.
