Hosts. Acanthoscelides obtectus (Say) ( Pintureau et al. 1999) on Phaseolus vulgaris L. ( Bonet et al. 2012); Acanthoscelides obvelatus Bridwell on Phaseolus vulgaris L. ( Bonet et al. 2012); Acanthoscelides oblongoguttatus (Fahraeus) on Acacia sphaerocephala Schltdl. & Cham. ( Bonet et al. 2012) ; Mimosestes humeralis (Gyllenhal) on Acacia pennatula (Schltdl. & Cham.) Benth. ( Bonet et al. 2012) .
Distribution. NEOTROPICAL: Chile, Mexico * ( Bonet et al. 2012).
Note. Similar to the previous species, Pintereau et al. (1999) reports Pseudopaclrymerinn spinipes (Erichson) on Acacia caven (Molina) Molina and Scutobruchus ceratioborus (Philippi) on Prosopis chilensis (Molina) Stuntz as primary hosts of Uscana espinae Pintureau & Gerding. However , in the Materials and Methods they mention that Uscana species were reared from A. obtectus (Say) .
