Citation in the protologue: “ Oubangui-Chari: Terrain argilleux pres Riviere Kudu, Nord Mouribas.— Rev. Pere C. Tisserant no. 1228, Octobre 1923. Fleurs bleu-piles; Yalinga.— G. Le Testu no. 3049. Aodt 1921. Fleurs violettes”

First-step lectotype: Inadvertently designated by Jonker (1938) citing “Type: Tisserant 1228 from the French Congo, Oubangui-Chari, in herb. P ”

Second-step lectotype (designated here):— Centrafrique , Oubangui, région de Bambari: Isolées au milieu des herbes près Riv. Kudu, 6 km N. Mororibas, C. Tisserant 1228 ( P, barcode P00076031 [image!], available on https://science.mnhn.fr/institution/mnhn/ collection/p/item/p00076031, Fig. 4 ). Isolectotypes: P (barcode P00435895 [image!]) & BM (barcode BM000092235 [image!]. Residual syntype: Central African Republic, Yalinga , Aug. 1921, G. M. P. C. Le Testu 3049 ( P, barcode P00076033 [image!]).

Notes: There are two relevant specimens at P (barcodes P00076031 ! and P00435895 !) which are perfectly fit to the citation of first step lectotypification. One of them (barcode number P00076031 ) is here designated as the second step lectotype of the name. In search, we could trace one reliable duplicate at BM (barcode BM000092235 !) .
