Orthocentrus insularis View in CoL species-group

This species group was established by Veijalainen et al. (2014) for six Neotropical Orthocentrus species: O. albihumerus Broad, 2014 from Nicaragua and Costa Rica, O. alboscutellum Broad, 2014 from Costa Rica, O. brevipilus Broad, 2014 from Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Peru, O. broadi Veijalainen, 2014 from Costa Rica, Ecua- dor and Peru, O. insularis Ashmead, 1894 from St. Vincent, and O. onkonegare Broad, 2014 from Ecuador, which are characterised by coarsely rugose/strigose basal tergites and very long antennae.

Two known species in Mexico.
