Exochus asper Gravenhorst, 1829: 694 [holotype female (MNHW, Gravenhorst collection), ‘Netley, England’].

Orthocentrus incisus? Gravenhorst, 1829: 361–362 [type male (MNHW, Gravenhorst collection), ‘Silesia, Warmbrunn’]. Orthocentrus discolor Holmgren, 1858: 332 [lectotype female (NHRS), ‘ Sweden, Småland, Anneberg’].

Phaenosemus sitkensis Ashmead, 1902: 231 [type male, Cat No 5677 (USNM), ‘ USA, Alaska, Sitka, July 16, 1899 ’].

Material examined. 1 ♀ México, Tamaulipas, Gómez Farias , 2.2 km San Jose Red Entomologica 11.III.1995, leg. S. Nino M. & C. Hernández V. ( UAT) ; 1 ♀ Hidalgo, Huasca de Ocampo , rancho Sta. Elena, MT3, 25.XI– 26.XII.2005, leg. A. Contreras et al. ( UNAM) ; 1 ♀ Tlaxcala, 15 km SSE Apizaco, N slope of La Malinche volcano; N 19.267°, W 98.072°, 3050 m a.s.l., 1.X.2016, leg. A.E. Humala ( ZISP) .

Distribution. Holarctic species, known from Alaska; Mexico (Hidalgo, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala). New to Mexico.

Comments. This species can be placed to the O. wahlbergi -group of species according to its papillate face sculpture and a largely coriaceous second tergite of metasoma. Similar to O. podagricus but differs in transverse basal flagellomere, yellowish hind coxa, female face mostly brown with yellow marks along frontal orbits.
