Material examined. Holotype ♀: México, Tlaxcala, Nanacamilpa; San Felipe Hidalgo, Ejido Los Búfalos , N 19°27′35.2″, W 98°35′46.9″, 2831 m a.s.l., MT6, 30.VI–1.VIII.2016, leg. A. Contreras & Y. Marquez ( UNAM). GoogleMaps

Paratype: 1 ♀ —same data as for holotype ( ZISP) GoogleMaps .

Description. Female. Fore wing length 3.4 mm.

Face medially 1.2 × as wide as high; face slightly punctate with horizontal striae, eyes not setose, dorsal ridge of face inbetween antennal sockets without a median prominence; face profile rounded, edge of clypeus straight, antennal sockets not on a distinct high shelf (Hw/Fp = 7.8); subocular sulcus sharp, bent towards occiput; maxillary palp reaching slightly beyond fore coxa. In dorsal view, head posteriorly moderately concave, temples wide, about 0.5 × eye width, posterior ocellus separated from eye by 1.4 × ocellar diameter, anterior ocellus separated from eye by 2.2 × ocellar diameter, lacking ocellar-ocular grooves. Minimum distance between antennal sockets about 3/4 diameter of socket; antenna as long as fore wing, with 28(29) flagellomeres (n=2) which gradually shortening towards apex of antenna; basal flagellomere 3.1 × as long as wide and about as long as scape; scape with internal surface slightly convex, outer side slightly concave.

Mesosoma smooth and polished except for few striae postero-ventrally on pronotum, with weak microsculpture on propodeum; mesoscutum anteriorly with short notauli; in profile, scutellum not particularly high, metapleuron slightly convex; propodeum with posterior transverse carina complete, strong and raised between lateral longitudinal carinae, weak laterally to lateromedian carinae, median longitudinal carinae weak but complete, lateral longitudinal carinae present posterior to spiracles or more or less complete, spiracles medium-sized.

Legs moderately stout; coxae and femora polished, femora with coriaceous microsculpture especially on posterior side, tibiae and tarsi coriaceous-granulate; hind coxa 1.0 × as long as first tergite, hind femur 3.2 × as long as high, hind tibia 4.7 × as long as apically wide; tibiae with spine-like setae.

Wings not particularly narrow; fore wing with areolet almost petiolate, vein Rs slightly upcurved; hind wing with nervellus intercepted at lower third.

First tergite slightly widening apically, 1.6 × as long as apically wide, in dorsal view, slightly wider at spiracles; coriaceous, with two median longitudinal carinae and striae in apical half, with transverse impressions originating at about middle of tergite, sloping posteriorly, not meeting centrally. Second tergite as long as apically wide; coriaceous, with longitudinal striae anteriorly, basal corners impressed and transverse groove near apical margin bending anteriorly near lateral margins, forming a somewhat oval uplifted area medially; basal thyridia nearly oval, contrastingly coloured, second thryridia indistinct; third tergite with coriaceous microsculpture in basal half. Remainder of metasoma unsculptured, polished, lacking thyridia. Ovipositor thin, straight, without distinct dorsal notch; ovipositor sheath with sparse setae.

Body setose except eyes, pronotum, mesopleuron and metapleuron, setae very scattered on metasoma and posterior sides of coxae.

Dark to blackish brown; clypeus orange, inner orbits broadly creamy from antennal sockets to level of anterior ocellus; mouthparts except for fuscous apical palpomeres, tegula, subalar prominence, fore and mid coxae, all trochanters and trochantelli creamy, remainder of fore and mid legs orange, hind coxa dark brown except apex orange, femur, tibia and tarsus brown with base of femur and tibia light brown; apical margin of second tergite light brown.

Male. Unknown.

Biology. Hosts unknown.

Distribution. México (Tlaxcala).

Etymology. Named after the type locality, state Tlaxcala ( Mexico).

Comments. Compared with the other species that have a complete posterior transverse carina, short notauli, and closed areolet, the head strongly transverse and frontal orbits with yellow marks not reaching the level of anterior ocellus, unlike in O. khalaimi , O. montanus , O. montezuma and O. sierrae ; subocular sulcus slightly bent towards occiput and basal flagellomere comparatively long, unlike in O. malaris .
