SPOT- CHARACTERS. — Bark dark, cracked; leaves densely simple hairy; inflorescenses compact, finely densely hairy; ovary glabrous; capsules finely striate (shagreen), glabrous.

DISTRIBUTION. — Myanmar, Thailand, Laos (only known from Vidal 1362 [P05140488!]), China (Yunnan, no specimens seen).
