Sobarocephala uncinata Sueyoshi

Redescription (Fig. 13). Male. Body length 3.5mm. Arista sparsely plumose. Setae black. Ocellar seta welldeveloped. Presutural intra-alar seta weak. Two dorsocentral setae with slightly more developed setula in front of anterior dorsocentral. Two pairs of long lateral scutellar setae. Acrostichal seta present. Head yellow with ocellar spot brown, face with orange medial tint, parafacial and gena white and pilose, and occiput and ventral half of back of head white. Scutum yellow with short trifid posteromedial stripe and lateral margin brown behind postpronotum (narrower behind suture). Scutellum brown medially. Metanotum brown lateral to scutellum. Pleuron yellow with anepimeron, dorsal margin of anepisternum and anterodorsal corner of katepisternum brown. Legs yellow with fore tibia light brown, fore tarsi brown and hind tibia brownish medially. Halter entirely white. Wing slightly dusky on anterior half. M1+2 ratio 3.4. Abdomen yellow with dorsal stripe on tergites 2–4.

Female. As described for male except hind tibia dark yellow.

Male terminalia. (Figs 72–74) As described for S. mitsuii except as follows: surstylus broadly rounded apically; hypandrium broad with setae slightly longer; distiphallus nearly as long as phallapodeme and paraphallus broader medially.

Holotype: JAPAN. Yona, Kunugami Vil., Okinawa Isl., Ryukyu , 27.vi.2001, M. Sueyoshi (1♂, BLKU).
