Ecology. On dead acroporid coral branches between 12 and 18 m depth.
Indian Ocean distribution. Aldabra Islands, Australia, Kenya, Madagascar, Maldives, Réunion ( Payri, 1985: 640), Rodrigues (this paper), Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania.
