Note. Cormaci and Furnari (1988) considered A. breviramosa a synonym of A. elegans (Berthold) Price and John. This taxonomic decision, however, is not entirely followed by subsequent authors and needs further study. Following Kim and Lee (1990), Millar (1990) and Abbott (1999), we prefer to keep both entities as separate species. It should be noted that A. elegans is reported from Mauritius by Børgesen (1952: 39–40).
