Remarks: The strictly arboreal Banded Velvet Gecko ( Fig. 4I) is a savanna species that typically occupies holes and crevices in large trees from sea level to at least 1,300 m ( Spawls et al. 2018). In SNP, we found six individuals in December, March, and April. Individuals were found under bark and in holes of Vachellia sp. , as well as on the much smaller and bush-like Salvadora persica . A gravid female was collected on 30 March 2017. The average T b was 35 ± 0 °C (N = 2) with T sub ranging from 33–34 °C and T a ranging from 34–35 °C. These are the first Kenyan records from the eastern side of Lake Turkana.
