Labomimus jinfomontis View in CoL sp. nov.
( Figs. 10A View FIGURE 10 , 11 View FIGURE 11 )
Type material ( 20 ♂♂, 25 ♀♀). Holotype: CHINA: ♂: ‘ China: S. Chongqing, Jinfo Mountain (金 佛山),
29°01′25′′N, 107°11′01′E, mixed leaf litter, sifted, 2160 m, 09.VII.2015, Jiang, Peng, Tu, & Zhou leg.’ ( SNUC) . Paratypes: CHINA: 19 ♂♂, 25 ♀♀: same label data as the holotype ( SNUC) .
Diagnosis of male. Length over 3.0 mm; antennomeres IX–XI elongate, lacking modification; pronotum with round lateral margins; metaventral processes long; mesotrochanter with triangular ventral spine; aedeagus asymmetric, with median lobe narrowed and curved rightward at apex.
Description. Male ( Fig. 10A View FIGURE 10 ). Length 3.01–3.13 mm. Head slightly longer than wide, HL 0.67–0.69 mm, HW 0.60–0.63 mm; eyes small, each composed of about 20 facets. Antenna with scape about 3.0 times as long as wide, antennomeres II–VII each longer than wide, VIII about as long as wide, antennomeres IX–XI ( Fig. 11A View FIGURE 11 ) enlarged, unmodified. Pronotum ( Fig. 11B View FIGURE 11 ) about as long as wide, PL 0.58–0.59 mm, PW 0.59–0.60 mm, with round lateral margins. Elytra much broader than long, EL 0.69–0.73 mm, EW 0.98–1.03 mm. Metaventral processes ( Fig. 11C View FIGURE 11 ) long, roundly broadened apically. Protrochanter and profemur ( Fig. 11D View FIGURE 11 ) simple; mesotrochanter ( Fig. 11E View FIGURE 11 ) with broad triangular ventral spine, mesofemur simple; metacoxa, metatrochanter, and metafemur ( Fig. 11F View FIGURE 11 ) simple. Abdomen broad at base and narrowed posteriorly, AL 1.07–1.12 mm, AW 1.05–1.10 mm; tergite IV longest, more than twice as long as tergite V; sternite IX as in Fig. 11G View FIGURE 11 . Length of aedeagus ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 H–J) 0.61 mm; median lobe slightly asymmetric, narrowing and curved rightwards apically; with elongate parameres.
Female. Similar to male in general morphology; eyes each composed of about 28 facets; antennae and legs simple; lacking metaventral processes. Measurements: BL 2.98–3.05 mm, HL 0.68–0.71 mm, HW 0.59–0.60 mm, PL 0.58–0.60 mm, PW 0.63–0.64 mm, EL 0.66–0.67 mm, EW 1.08–1.11 mm, AL 1.06–1.07 mm, AW 1.13–1.20 mm.
Distribution. China: Chongqing.
Etymology. The specific name after the type locality, i.e., Jinfo Mountain.
Comparative notes. Labomimus jinfomontis sp. nov. is similar to L. maoershanus Yin & Li, 2013 from Guangxi in sharing the simple antennal club. These two species can be separated by the round pronotal lateral margins, the mesotrochanter with a large, triangular ventral spine, the simple metacoxa, and the elongate aedeagus in the new species. While L. maoershanus sp. nov. has the pronotal lateral margins angularly expanded laterally, the mesotrochanter only has a small ventral tubercle, the metacoxa has a distinct ventral projection, and the aedeagus is much stouter.
