Iberville, Livingston, Rapides, Richland, Sabine, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Tammany, West Feliciana, and Winn Parishes (LSAM, TAMU, USNM).

Potential larval hosts in Louisiana: Baccharis halimifolia , Betula nigra , Carya illinoinensis , Celtis laevigata , Cercis canadensis , Diospyros virginiana , Ficus sp. , Juglans nigra , Quercus falcata (see Comments), Taxodium distichum , Ulmus crassifolia , and Ximenia americana L. Adults reported also on Morella cerifera (L.) Small, Prunus persica , Salix sp. , and Vitis sp.

Collection date range: 7 February–28 November, especially April (n = 12) and May (n = 11); 69 reared specimens emerged February–July.

Comments: Collected by hand on ‘oak’ and ‘live oak’, using canopy Malaise, flight intercept, Lindgren funnel, Malaise, sticky traps, ‘window pane trap on cypress’, and reared from Quercus falcata , ‘dead cypress limbs’, ‘dead pecan limbs’, ‘dead hickory limbs’, ‘miscellaneous dead limbs’, and unspecified coarse, woody debris, also as C. fumipennis prey.
