Parish records (n = 304): Avoyelles, Caddo, Concordia, DeSoto, East Baton Rouge, Evangeline, Franklin, Grant, Livingston, Madison, Natchitoches, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Tammany, Tensas, Webster, and Winn Parishes (LSAM, TAMU, USNM).
Potential larval hosts in Louisiana: Carpinus caroliniana Walt. , Carya cordiformis (Wangenh.) K. Koch , Carya glabra , Carya laciniosa (Michx. f.) G. Don, Prunus caroliniana (Mill.) Ait. , Salix exigua Nutt. , and Tilia americana . Adults reported also on Carya ovata , Quercus alba , Quercus falcata , and Quercus velutina .
Collection date range: 20 January–11 November, mostly in May (n = 96) and June (n = 99), five reared specimens emerged in June and September.
Comments: Collected by hand, using canopy Malaise and Malaise traps, reared from ‘dead hickory limbs’ and ‘miscellaneous dead limbs’, and as C. fumipennis prey.
