Diplomaragna gracilipes (Verhoeff)

Distribution: Japan (Hokkaido), Korea, Taiwan.

Remarks: The species was originally described in Syntelopodeuma from Hokkaido Island, Japan ( Verhoeff 1914), later transferred, together with the bulk of Diplomaragnidae , to the genus Diplomaragna Attems, 1907 ( Shear 1990) . The records of this species in Korea ( Takakuwa & Takashima 1944; Takakuwa 1954) and, especially, in “Ali San”, Taiwan ( Wang 1958) seem dubious because of the geographic distances between the type locality and these records; most species of the family have quite limited ranges.
