Diagnosis.— Males are distinguished by the short, pointed, retrolateral apophysis and females by the angular spermathecae ( Dondale & Redner 1978).
Distribution.— Palearctic. Widespread species found from southern British Columbia to Nova Scotia, southward to Mexico ( Dondale & Redner 1978).
Remark.— The present records confirm the occurrence of the species in Québec, which was suspected by Paquin & Dupérré (2003, figs 1995–1998).
