Diagnosis. Forewing length is 13–14.5 mm in ♂ and 16–17 mm in ♀. Externally, the species ( Figs. 5–8 ) differs from other members of the B. nubifascia species-group ( Figs. 9–16 ) by its less contrast and diffuse forewing pattern and intensive ochreous-yellow hindwings. The male genitalia ( Fig. 34 ) are close to those of B. clandestina ( Fig. 35 ), but differ by the unilobe distal costal process, the much narrower ventral costal process, the narrower and longer distal saccular process, presence of numerous thorns on aedeagus carinal plate, a larger number of cornuti in the subbasal ventral diverticulum, the much larger lateral cornuti, and absence of a long distal cornutus. The female genitalia ( Fig. 48 ) differ clearly from those of all other congeners ( Figs 49–54 ) by the long and relatively narrow ductus bursae and the very large lateral sclerotized lobes of corpus bursae.

Distribution. The species is widespread in the Himalayan Region: Pakistan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir), Nepal, NW, N and E India (Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, north of West Bengal, Sikkim).
