Specimens examined. AUSTRALIA, South Australia: 1 ♀ (dried) Urrbrae Wetlands, 34°57.94’S 138°37.20’E, B. Hyder, 22.viii.2014, from axial stem gall on E. camaldulensis GoogleMaps .

Notes on biology. Species of Neanastatus have been recorded as primary parasitoids of Cecidomyiidae , especially those associated with grasses and galls on herbaceous plants ( Bouček 1988). Neanastatus was recorded as a solitary, primary ectoparasitoid of F. turneri from Melaleuca ( Davies et al. 2001, Goolsby et al. 2001).
