The karyotype of this species consists of one pair of large, 9 pairs of medium to small, and the largest X ( Fig. 23a View FIGURE 23 ). They are all telocentrics. At first metaphase 9 autosomal bivalents and the sole X are seen ( Fig. 23b View FIGURE 23 ). As a result of the first division, there are 10 autosomes with the X ( Fig. 23c View FIGURE 23 ) and 10 autosomes ( Fig. 23d View FIGURE 23 ).
