Distribution:― Bangladesh, Cambodia ( Rodriguez 1934b), China ( Chang 1978, including P. minor Yamamoto ), India, Malaysia ( Ridley 1924), Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam ( Rodriguez 1934b).

Habitat:―In shady wet evergreen forests at elevations up to 2400 m.

Phenology:―Flowering in November–July; fruiting in January–August.

Notes:― Newman et al. (2007) cited two specimens from Laos (M. Newman et al. LAO 97, E-00214062*!; M. Newman et al. LAO 192, E-00208760*!) as Peliosanthes teta , but they appear to be different species.
