Hymenochirus cf. boulengeri De Witte, 1930 View in CoL
Fig. 11B View Fig .
Area: Yalokole.
Season/survey: Wet (Nov 2018).
Material: IVB-H-CD 18376, 18396, 18578–18580.
Comments: Another species of Hymenochirus , but apparently much rarer, was found in shallow slowflowing parts of a stream located at the edge of forest and farmbush. It was found in syntopy with the previous species, but this species was never found deeper in the forest. Similar to H. cf. boettgeri , the overall morphology of the Kokolopori individuals corresponds to the type material of H. boulengeri described from the forestsavanna mosaic in northern DRC ( De Witte 1930). However, with respect to the relatively distant type locality, we refrain from making a definite identification of the species until further material has been examined.
