Cenocorixa crestiforma sp. nov.
( Figs. 6–10 View FIGURE 6 , Fig. 16)
Description: Measurements: Male: Length of body 5.4, width of body 2.0; length of head 0.4, width of head 1.8, width of an eye 0.8, interocular space 0.6; length of pronotum 0.9, width of pronotum 1.5; length of pala 0.5, width of median 0.3; length of front tibia 0.25, length of front femur 0.55; length of segments of mesoleg: femur: tibia: tarsus: claw = 1.8: 0.9: 0.5: 0.8. length of forewing 4.4, length of claval suture 2.4, length of pruinose area of claval suture 0.8; length of prenodal pruinose area of embolium 1.7, length of postnodal pruinose area of embolium 0.8. Female: length of body 5.8, width of body 2.1; length of head 0.4, width of head 1.9, width of an eye 0.8, interocular space 0.73; length of pronotum 0.84, width of pronotum 1.62; length of pala 0.6, width of median 0.22, length of front tibia 0.35, length of front femur 0.7; length of mesoleg: femur: tibia: tarsus: claw= 2.0: 1.0: 0.7: 0.8; length of forewing 4.6.
Color: Body brown, with yellowish patterns; transverse bands on pronotum yellow; corium and membrane separated by a pale line; abdomen ventral yellowish in female whereas basal 3 segments brown except lateral and posterior margin in male.
Structural Characteristics: Vertex rounded and broad in both sexes; 7–8 bands on pronotum, sometime incontinuous, slightly wider than dark interspaces; lateral angle of pronotum blunt; lateral lobes of prothorax narrow, sides almost parallel, apex rounded ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 -a); metaxyphus triangular, base narrower than long; hemelytron with vermiculate patterns but irregular at apex of clavus; pala of male broad, a distinct ridge across face, with a curving peg row consisting of 33–35 pegs, distal 7–8 pegs longer and spiculate; upper palmar bristles separated into two parts, 9–10 anterior and 21–23 posterior ( Fig. 7); strigil quadrate consisting of 4–5 combs ( Fig. 9); median setiferous lobe of 7th abdominal tergite narrow and curved, apex blunt( Fig. 8); male genital capsule as in Fig. 10; right paramere strongly curved at anterior 1/3 part, a small tuber at tip ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 -b); left paramere of male as shown in Figs. 6 View FIGURE 6 -c and 6-d.
Etymology: Named for prominent ridge across the face of the male pala.
Types: Holotype: 3 CHINA Yunnan (Yuanjiang), 2010m, 2006. VII.17. Pengzhi Dong leg.; paratype: 132ƤƤ, CHINA Yunnan (Yuanjiang), 2010m, 2006. VII.17. Weibing Zhu, leg.; 2ƤƤ. CHINA Yunnan (Yuanjiang), 2010m, 2006. VII.19. Pengzhi Dong leg.; 33 11ƤƤ, CHINA Yunnan (Yuanjiang), 2010m, 2006. VII.17. Xu Zhang leg.. All types were deposited in NKUM.
Discussion: The new species is distinctive in the character of male pala. The following characters: smaller body, pala with 33–35 pegs, interocular space narrower than width of an eye, strigil quadrate and consisting of 4–5 combs, apical 1/3 part of right paramere strongly curved and narrow, can also help to indentify this species.
