Material examined: KOREA: Gyeonggi-do, Gapyeonggun, Nam-myeon, Yulgil-ri (37.74°N, 127.39°E), coll. Y. B. Lee, det. J. S. Yoo, 16.vii.2001, one male (NIAST, no. 5874) ; KOREA: Gangneung-si, Wangsan-myeon , Doma-2ri (37.61°N, 128.82°E), coll. Y. B. Lee, Det. J. S. Yoo, 30.ix.2000, two females (NIAST, no. 4711) .

Diagnosis: Males of S. geumoensis can be distinguished by the anterior terminal apophysis without the median tooth ( Tu & Li, 2006a: fig. 2) that is present in S. retractilis and S. wulingensis . The epigynum of S. geumoensis is shorter ( Tu & Li, 2006a: fig. 3) than that of S. retractilis and S. wulingensis .

Types: Holotype male, CHINA: Zhangjiajie National Nature Reserve (29.10°N, 110.40°E), Zhangjiajie City (originally called Dayong City), Hunan Province, China, coll. Shuqiang Li, 13.viii.1990 ( IZCAS). Two male paratypes, same data as holotype ( IZCAS).

Additional material examined: CHINA: a small mountain (no specific name) (29.10°N, 110.40°E) near Hou-Hua-Yuan Garden, Zhangjiajie National Nature Reserve , Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province , China, 29.x.2005, six males and five females ( IZCAS) ; CHINA: Temple Nantaisi, Mt. Hengshan (27.30°N, 112.70°E), Hunan Province, coll. Lihong Tu & Shuqiang Li, 10.x.2003, two females ( IZCAS) .
