Types: Male holotype, CHINA: Mt. Yangmingshan , Taibei City (26.70°N, 117.40°E), Taiwan, iv.2000 ( IZCAS). One female paratype, same data as holotype ( IZCAS) GoogleMaps .
Etymology: The species name is derived from the type locality (Mt. Yangmingshan).
Diagnosis: Males of S. yangmingshana can be distinguished by the two well-developed lamella characteristica branches: one with sharp apex, one modified with threaded projections ( Fig. 11D). The transverse elliptical epigynum is diagnostic ( Fig. 11E).
Description: Male. As the only available specimen (i.e. the holotype) has dried out and the legs are broken, measurements are not possible.
Female. Total length 1.90. Carapace 0.95 long, 0.60 wide. Abdomen 1.10 long, 0.70 wide. Chelicerae with five promarginal and five retromarginal teeth. Length of legs: I 3.91 (1.07 + 1.27 + 0.90 + 0.67); II 3.50 (0.93 + 1.10 + 0.80 + 0.60); III 2.60 (0.77 + 0.80 + 0.60 + 0.43); IV 3.41 (0.97 + 1.07 + 0.80 + 0.57). Tm I 0.16, Tm IV absent. Other somatic characters as reported in the genus and S. longqiensis group description.
Variation: Only one male and one female material examined.
Natural history: Unknown. The study specimens were collected using pitfall traps in mixed conifer forests.
Distribution: China (Taiwan) ( Fig. 22 View Figure 22 ).
