Very uncommon (just four records) at 1,500–1,570 m. Like elsewhere in New Guinea, there areȱ twoȱ quiteȱ differentȱ songs:ȱ aȱ soft,ȱ veryȱ fast,ȱ rising,ȱ musicalȱ seriesȱ ofȱ notes;ȱ andȱ aȱ loudȱ unmusicalȱoutburstȱcomprisingȱaȱrepeatedȱthree-noteȱpattern.ȱPreviouslyȱcollectedȱbyȱPrattȱ (1982) .
