We observed this species just once, along a river at 615 m, but it is so distinctive in behaviour that it is well known to villagers (named ‘manini’ and ‘asliklik’ at Munggur and Kangarangate,ȱrespectively).ȱPreviouslyȱreportedȱbyȱPrattȱ(1982).
