Heteropilumnus De Man, 1895 View in CoL View at ENA

Type species. Heteropilumnus stormi De Man, 1895 View in CoL , by monotypy.

Remarks. Nineteen species of Heteropilumnus are known (cf. Ng et al. 2008; Ng & Rahayu 2020; Maenosono 2019) but the taxonomy of several species is still uncertain, with the definition of the genus still essentially following that of Balss (1933). The identity of an unidentified species from Papua New Guinea remains unresolved ( Ng & Rahayu 2020). As discussed by Ng et al. (2018), the genus is heterogeneous and will need to be revised. Ng et al. (2021) and Ng & Clark (2022a, b) subsequently rediagnosed the poorly known Pseudolitochira Ward, 1942 , to which they referred some species of Heteropilumnus . In this paper, we refer H. setosus (A. Milne-Edwards, 1873) to Pseudolitochira (see below).
