NOVA SCOTIA: Yarmouth Co.: Wellington , 12-20.VIII.1991, J. Cook, coastal forest, flight intercept trap, (2, JCC) ; Wellington , 15-24.VII.1993, J. and T. Cook, mixed coastal forest, (2, JCC) .
This Holarctic species is newly recorded in Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada ( Fig. 5 View Fig ). It is predominantly found in mixed forests, in moss and dead leaves. It is an excellent flyer and many have been collected in malaise and flight-intercept traps ( Baranowski 1993).
