Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3
Redescription. ♂, length of body 2.4 mm, of fore wing 2.6 mm.
Material. Holotype, China, Fujian, Wuyi mountain, Guadun , 28. VII, 1986, Zhanghong.
Head. Median length of head 0.4 × its width ( Fig. 3D View FIGURE 3 ). Occipital carina incomplete, absent behind posterior ocelli ( Fig. 3D View FIGURE 3 ). Antenna with 25 antennomeres (one intact, other 10 antennomeres remaining); scapus robust, 1.3 × wider and 2.2 × longer than pedicellus, F1 1.2 × F2, length of F1, F2, tenth and penultimate antennomeres 3.8, 2.7, 2.0, 1.8 their width, respectively ( Fig. 3I View FIGURE 3 ). Eyes slightly protruding, glabrous, 1.5 × length of temple in dorsal view ( Fig. 3D View FIGURE 3 ). Temples narrowed behind eyes. Frons slightly concave medially ( Fig. 3E View FIGURE 3 ), smooth with sparse ridges below, laterally reticulate and extending from anterior ocellus to antennal sockets. Vertex and temple reticulate. Ocelli small, arranged in regular triangle; POL:OD: OOL= 4:9:13 ( Fig. 3D View FIGURE 3 ). Length of face 0.5 × its width; face protruding near antennal sockets, reticulate, medially convex and longitudinal ridge obvious and dorsal 1/4 not smooth. obliquely rugose near dorsolateral corners ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ). Clypeus distinctly separated from face, length 0.6 × its width, truncate apico-medially; clypeus evenly convex and nearly smooth, punctulate slightly and sparsely, basal less than 1/2 smooth, obliquely stripe in more than apical half. Hypoclypeal depression small ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ). Length of malar space 0.7 × basal width of mandible. Mandible long, upper tooth much longer than lower tooth, with deep basal depression.
Mesosoma. Length of mesosoma 2.0 × its height.Sides of pronotum smooth medially, remainder largely punctate ( Fig. 3F View FIGURE 3 ). Mesoscutum densely reticulate-rugose medially, with notauli and mid pit trace, middle lobe convex basally, medio-apically slightly concave and coarsely reticulate ( Fig. 3G View FIGURE 3 ). Scutellum narrowed with a sharp end, shallowly punctate, nearly smooth, 1.1 longer than wide. Scutellar sulcus widely crenulate, with 8 areolae. Mesopleuron convex medially and sparsely punctate, densely punctate-reticulate basally, precoxal sulcus indistinct but coarsely punctate ( Fig. 3F View FIGURE 3 ). Postpectal carina distinct. Metapleuron slightly convex, densely reticulate. Propodeum densely reticulate mostly, smooth basally, dorsal part 2.0 × longer than posterior part, basal 2/3 with longitudinal ridge, not connected with transverse ridge, transverse ridge strong and complete, connected with two lateral longitudinal ridges, posterior part without longitudinal ridges ( Fig. 3G View FIGURE 3 ).
Wings. Fore wing: length of pterostigma 3.0 × its width; veins 1- R 1 and SR1 complete, vein 1- R 1 1.6 × length of pterostigma; SR1:r:3-SR: SR1 = 8:11:64; second submarginal cell large, roof-shaped; vein 2-SR+M nearly absent, 2-M incomplete, vein r-m absent but with trace of vein, vein m-cu postfurcal; vein 2-SR+M nearly absent, remaining trace as long as vein m-cu; vein cu-a distinctly postfurcal; cu-a (3/4 present): 1-CU1: 2-CU1 = 12:5:35 ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ). Hind wing: vein 2-SC+ R longitudinal (= horizontal); vein r absent; M+CU: 1-M = 25:11 ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ).
Legs. Hind coxa smooth; hind femur robust, but fore and middle femora normal; length of hind femur 2.6 × its width; hind tibia widened apically ( Fig. 3L View FIGURE 3 ), slightly longer than hind tarsus; length of hind basitarsus 2.7 × inner hind tibial spur, 0.4 × length of hind tarsus.
Metasoma. Metasomal carapace in lateral view protruding dorso-apically ( Fig. 3H View FIGURE 3 ). Surface of T 1 and apical 1/2 of T 3 longitudinally reticulate-rugose, T 2 and basal 1/2 of T 3 shallowly reticulate and with dense longitudinal stripes ( Fig. 3J View FIGURE 3 ), T 3 moderately emarginated apico-ventrally in posterior view, slightly reticulate-rugose above emargination, with smooth interspaces between sculpture ( Fig. 3K View FIGURE 3 ), and sparse pale bristles ( Figs 3J, 3H View FIGURE 3 ) and rounded apically in lateral view ( Fig. 3H View FIGURE 3 ), length of T 1: T 2: T 3 = 25:18:40; length of T 1 and T 2 1.2 × and 0.5 × their apical width, respectively, length of T 3 1.2 ×its basal width ( Fig. 3J View FIGURE 3 ).
Colour. Reddish-brown; palpi white; mandible brownish yellow, blackish-brown apically; scapus and pedicellus brownish-yellow, antenna darkened towards apex; tegulae light brown; fore leg: tibia apically light brown and basitarsus brown; hind leg: femur and tibia apically brown, remaining brownish-yellow. Wing membrane dark brown with pale band below base of pterostigma; pterostigma light brown, brownish yellow basally and apically and veins yellowish-brown ( Fig. 3A View FIGURE 3 ).
