( Figs 4–7 View FIGURES 4 – 7 )

Diagnosis. This species is similar to P. afoliolata Chen & Toda in Chen et al., 2005 from China and Myanmar, and P. xishuangbanna Cheng & Chen in Cheng et al., 2008 from China in the plumose arista; it can be differentiated from them by having the vertical process of gonopods distinctly asymmetric, nearly entirely sclerotized and pointed apically ( Figs 6, 7 View FIGURES 4 – 7 ), aedeagus comprised of 2 sclerites entirely separated from median rod ( Figs 6, 7 View FIGURES 4 – 7 , aed sc), while in P. xishuangbanna aedeagus is comprised of 3–4 sclerites of different shape.

Description. Frons brown, with thick and dense interfrontal setae. Pedicel and first flagellomere grayish yellow. Arista plumose, not swollen apically in male. Face brown, with yellowish white patches on lower corners. Clypeus medially white, laterally black. Thorax and scutellum orange brown. Legs yellow, with brown spot submedially on each femur and 2 brown rings on each tibia; fifth tarsomere of male foreleg without long seta apically. Abdominal third to fifth sternites longer than wide; sixth sternite with a few long setae laterally. Male terminalia: Surstylus distally with pubescence, several setae and ca. 20 prensisetae on ventral margin to inner surface ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 4 – 7 ). Paramere finely serrated apically, with 3 sensilla submedially ( Figs 6, 7 View FIGURES 4 – 7 ). Aedeagus with developed outer membrane ( Figs 6, 7 View FIGURES 4 – 7 ).

Measurements. BL = 3.98 mm in holotype (3.44 mm in 13 paratype), ThL = 1.69 mm (1.52 mm), WL = 2.72 mm (2.48 mm), WW = 1.20 mm (1.20 mm), arb = 5/4 (5-6/4), avd = 0.50 (0.50), adf = 1.20 (1.20), flw = 1.50 (1.50), FW/HW = 0.38 (0.40), ch/o = 0.07 (0.07), prorb = 1.10 (1.30), rcorb = 0.50 (0.60), vb = 0.50 (0.35), dcl = 0.50 (0.55), presctl = 0.57 (0.55), sctl = 0.98 (1.00), sterno = 1.00 (0.90), orbito = 1.80 (1.50), dcp = 0.30 (0.32), sctlp = 1.20 (1.10), C = 2.05 (1.94), 4c = 1.58 (1.80), 4v = 2.42 (3.10), 5x = 0.88 (1.14), ac = 4.75 (4.50), M = 0.58 (0.80), C3F = 0.68 (0.67).
