Diagnosis. This species is similar to P. gombakana (Takada & Momma, 1975) from Malaysia (Malay Peninsula and Sabah) in the paramere and the vertical process of gonopods, the latter having small spines apicomedially (the holotype of P. gombakana was checked by HW Chen), but can be distinguished from it by the aedeagal ventral bridges (termed inner paraphysis by Bächli et al., 2004) with 2 hook-shaped processes (basal and distal) each side ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 21, 22 , pr).

Description. Frons brown, with a few thin, sparse interfrontal setae. Pedicel and first flagellomere grayish yellow. Face brownish, with yellowish white patches on lower corners. Clypeus white medially, black laterally. Thorax orange brown with grayish black patches and pollinose pattern. Scutellum dark brown medially, organe brown along margin. Legs yellow, slightly brown on femora of fore- and midlegs, with 3 dark rings on each tibia. Abdominal tergites yellow; second tergite with 2 black patches submedially; third to fifth tergites each with medially and laterally protruded, broad, black band on posterior margin and 1 yellow patch near lateral margin each side; sixth tergite nearly entirely black. Male terminalia: Epandrium pubescent anteroventrally, with ca. 12 setae on dorsal to posterolateral portion each side ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 21, 22 ). Surstylus lacking pubescence, with several setae basally and distally on outer surface, several setae and prensisetae on apical margin of inner surface ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 21, 22 ). Additional plate between cerci and tenth sternite pubescent. Posterolateral lobe of hypandrium lacking pubescence ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 21, 22 ). Paramere lacking pubescence, tripartite distally: apical process without tooth or sensillum; median process pointed; basal process with 1 sensillum ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 21, 22 ).

Type material. Holotype 3 ( MZB), INDONESIA: Padang, West Sumatra, 5.i.2004, MJ Toda.

Distribution. Indonesia (Sumatra).

Etymology. From the Greek word: ancistron, referring to the vertical process of gonopods apicolaterally with hook-shaped processes.
