Diagnosis

Chimarra jejyorum sp. nov. is closely related to C. gattolliati sp. nov. The two species can be distinguished by the shape of the inferior appendages, as discussed in the diagnosis of C. gattolliati sp. nov. or, due to the size of the phallic apparatus, by the phallotheca, split shortly after the base in C. jejyorum sp. nov. ( Fig. 9D View Fig ), after mid-length in C. gattolliati sp. nov. ( Fig. 7D View Fig ).

Etymology

From the Malagasy ‘jejy’ (a traditional musical instrument). It is a reference to the name of the Mountain Marojejy, in translation: where there are many guitars.
