Osmia (Diceratosmia) Robertson
Diceratosmia Robertson 1903: 166 [type species: Osmia quadridentata Cresson View in CoL = Osmia conjuncta Cresson View in CoL , original designation and monobasic]
Osmia (Diceratomsia) View in CoL ; Sinha 1958: 228.
Diagnosis. Diceratosmia is readily distinguished from other Osmia in North America by the combination of the coarse punctures of the body; narrow apical fasciae of pale tomentum present on at least the basal metasomal terga; somewhat elongate parapsidal lines; carinate hind coxae; doubly carinate posterior margin of S4 of the males; and strong lateral teeth on T6 of the males. Members of this subgenus also share the somewhat unusual character of having pale scopal hairs (white, golden, or reddish golden).
