CNECOMYMAR Ogloblin, 1963 View in CoL View at ENA
( Figs 311–339 View FIGURE 311 View FIGURES 312–316 View FIGURES 317–319 View FIGURES 320, 321 View FIGURES 322–327 View FIGURES 328–335 View FIGURES 336–339 )
Cnecomymar Ogloblin, 1963: 65 View in CoL . Type species: Cnecomymar major Ogloblin, 1963 View in CoL , by original designation.
Diagnosis. Body length 1100–1715 μm. Body mainly yellow or light brown ( Fig. 311 View FIGURE 311 ); face with toruli separated by about half torular diameter from transverse trabecula ( Fig. 312 View FIGURES 312–316 ); fore wing with microtrichia relatively sparse, long and scraggly ( Figs 311 View FIGURE 311 , 317); metafemur and metatibia with erect setae each at least 4× as long as width of femur or tibia ( Fig. 311 View FIGURE 311 ).
Discussion. Among the nine other Nearctic genera of the Polynema group ( Acmopolynema , Caraphractus , Eustochus , Kalopolynema , Mymar , Neomymar , Palaeoneura , Polynema , Stephanodes ), Cnecomymar is superficially similar to one Palaeoneura sp., which is also yellow, but otherwise it is distinct on the features listed above. Only the extralimital type species is described but several species are known, including at least one from the Nearctic.
